Looking at the Sun
Looking at the sun is a great way to narrow where you are looking in half. By looking at the sun, you can easily tell whether or not you are in the northern hemisphere or southern hemisphere.
If the sun is in the north, that means you are in the southern hemisphere, and if the sun is in the south, that means you are in the northern hemisphere. However, if the sun is in the west or east, that usually means it is near the equator, however this isn’t as reliable reliable.
Here are some examples:
Here, we can see that the sun is pointing south, and therefore we guess in the norther hemisphere
Sure enough, it was in germany, which is in the northern hemisphere
We can see that in this game, the sun is pointing east, which means it is likely on the border
And just like we thought, it was right on the equator
However, this isn’t always reliable. As you can see here, the sun is pointing to the north
Although it was in the north, it was in bangladesh, which is in the northern hemisphere
